I attended Charles Keene College in England. I received a BS in Physical Education and minors in Sports First Aid, Coaching, Principles and Psychology. Since coming to the United States I have continued my education by taking studies in: Applied Anatomy both on land and water, Fitness Principles for the larger adult, Aquatic Personal Training, Exercise and Sleep, Stretch Fusion Certified through the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA), of which I am an elite member.
Continuing to study and remain current in this field is of utmost importance to me. |

| Sports Background |
|
I started my competitive swimming career at the age of 6. I was The British Girls Long Distance Swimming Champion for two years, and received The Champion of Champions award for two years. I held numerous other titles and records during my swimming career. I had sponsorship deals with Speedo and the Sports Aid Foundation. I also tested out the latest swimsuit technology for Dupont.
I moved to Olathe, KS in 1997 and accepted the Head Swimming and Diving Coach position for Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. I held that position until I resigned in 2008. While coaching at St Thomas Aquinas I was honored to receive the ‘Jerry Sprague Memorial Award’, which is awarded to a high school coach from either Kansas or Missouri. This award represents the ability of a coach to develop their athletes, not only as sportsmen and women but as student ambassadors, being in a position to show qualities of all round team player in every experience they encounter. I was voted ‘All Metro Swim Coach of the Year’ in 2007.
I have taught Aqua Aerobics for ten years. In the summer of 2006 I started teaching at HealthRidge Fitness Center. My classes range in intensity from both shallow and deep water high aerobic formats, to a Yoga stretch style of class. After resigning from St Thomas Aquinas in 2008, I took over the coaching position for the Master Swimming program at HealthRidge. I also do private lessons for those individuals wishing to improve their swimming skills and technique. |

| Goals |
|
My goal is to provide a well rounded program for those individuals unable to do land exercise as well as athletes wanting to cross train with limited impact on joints, but maximum output in energy and resistance. These classes are choreographed to have constant movement, combined with power moves, together with the multi-dimensional resistance of the water. Implementing these areas will tone and work the entire body with reduced impact and create a perfect environment for all age groups and gender. |
| |
| Philosophy |
| I am a strong believer in excellence in technique, effort & commitment, respect and courtesy for others. I bring an energetic, enthusiastic attitude to the poolside, striving to achieve non-stop fun in all my classes. I’ll supply the input for a maximum aerobic workout – YOU control the output. I look forward to adding new clients to our classes and thank my existing clients for their continued support and GREAT effort. |
